Luke Blount has experience in a diverse range of subject matter and an intense curiosity and drive to better understand people through telling their stories. After graduating from Baylor University and working a few short stints in communications for the sports world, Luke spent two years volunteering to help repair homes damaged from Hurricane Ike. It was there that he became convinced that everyone has a story to tell. As he wrote about the folks of Galveston, Texas overcoming incredible hardship, he was struck by the heroism in some of their every day tasks. He then spent more than three years writing similar stories for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. In 2014, he moved to North Carolina and joined the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis as a marketing specialist, helping to shape a new marketing and communications campaign for the society and the award-winning World Thrombosis Day initiative.
When he's not writing, watching documentaries or listening to podcasts, Luke likes to find good hiking and natural beauty. He also has an inherited obsession with sports and likes to pretend to be handy with tools.
